A passion for balloons. A career built around bringing big ideas to life.
In 2001, Julie wanted giant balloon sculptures for her sister Patty’s baby shower. She could not find an artist who made them, so they settled for three balloons and a weight.
She never forgot the idea.
Not long after, Julie discovered a balloon magazine featuring the exact kind of sculptures she had imagined. She was hooked.
She took every class she could find, traveled across the country for workshops and conventions, and in 2007 earned her Certified Balloon Artist designation.
In 2010, she founded Top Notch Balloon Creations.
Today, Julie brings that same curiosity and attention to detail to large-scale installations for companies, organizations, venues, and private clients throughout Metro Detroit and beyond.
Have a big idea for the room? Bring it to Julie.

What our clients say
“Julie and her assistant were great! So friendly and extremely helpful from the planning stages to the event. This is our second year using Top Notch Balloon Creations for a large event and we will continue to go back to them. The custom balloons that we were able to have this year tied in our theme. Overall, just helped take our event to the next level. Thank you!”
“My Amazon building has trusted the Top Notch team with monthly decor to celebrate the holidays. She listens to our ideas and NAILS the vision! Julie makes the process quick and easy for all. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a stunning display for their company or private parties.”
“Fantastic experience. High quality service. Julie was very responsive and was so easy to work with via email. Balloons arrived well before our scheduled delivery time which was perfect.
